I have been making soap for more than 10 years, and it all started when I began reading the labels on various products.
I saw that many soap and 'cleansing bars' on the supermarket shelves were made of petroleum products, hardeners, and environmentally damaging (but cheap) palm oil.
So I started experimenting with combinations of skin-loving oils that may be better choices for us and the environment. Firstly olive oil, which makes the soap very mild, then coconut oil for cleansing properties.
Castor oil gives lots of lather, and shea butter because it is simply luxurious and we're worth it!
In the cold process method, the natural glycerin is also left in the soap which helps keep your skin from drying out, unlike commercial detergent bars.
We will be adding new fragrances too, so keep checking back. Feel free to comment if there is a particular scent you would like to see.
